Though, now that I've told you, even if I don't mention that that is what her name is, we'll all know it in our hearts...so it doesn't really matter. Ha!

Though born and raised in Japan she has strong Chinese heritage. But she prefers the Japanese food over Chinese. Even though she has never moved, she is always treated like the new kid. No one ever talked to her even when she was in kindergarten. She never minded though and when she was younger she had more free time to dream about what she could do in the future and read. She never minded running and she wasn't bad at it but she was never the fastest.

In middle school she was in roughly the same situation. Only this time she was a bit more open and willing to go talk to a few people. But this time she found a new feeling, rejection. With all the time she spent in the library instead of the playground was coming back at her so she was treated like an outsider. Made fun of, no one wanted to do group projects with her. She eventually closed back up and started to grow a thicker skin to deal with all of the torment and teasing she was going through. She was miserable her middle school years. The only thing that gave her comfort were books and her own characters she made in her story.

Though she did in-fact make her first friend in middle school. But unfortunately it wasn't in the best cases for either one of them. Sakyura was in a corner with a bunch of guys around her, Akiko saw this and went over there and tried to help her get away. The distraction she provided allowed Sakyura to get away. Akiko took a few injuries but mostly bruises and small scrapes from landing on the pavement.

After that she managed to find Sakyura's house. Sakyura managed to get home and tell her parents about what just happened. When Akiko got there she was already cleaned up and in different clothes. Sakyura wanted to know what she could do for Akiko as payment for saving her. But Akiko just said no, she doesn't stand by when someone is getting injured or mistreated. As soon as that happened the two girls talked and found out that they were in the same grade and school.

The two became best friends and Sakyura helped Akiko get out of her shell. Though she always has her thick skin up because she doesn't want people to know her emotions. One day when the two were hiking in the mountains, Akiko felt something wrong with the ground. She pushed Sakyura away just in time to find out that they were on a weak spot in the earth. So as soon as Sakyura got knocked back the ground gave out, causing Akiko to fall. Sakyura screamed and called the hospital about what just happened.

They were able to get Akiko out safely but she was in a rough state. She had a deep wound on her right shoulder and a few broken bones. She got to the hospital just in time to make a full recovery after a few weeks. Akiko thanks Sakyura for saving her life. She still wonders how things would have turned out if Sakyura wasn't there that day.

A year after the hiking incident Akiko and her family moved to France. Akiko was transferred to Kadic because of that. She misses Japan, but when she met Yumi, things became much better. But she always yearns for a trip back home. She keeps in contact with Saykura daily, so she sometimes feels like that she has never left.
